First seen in 1964 this design in the Classic shape from J & G Meakin, possibly from their new premises in Hanley. In the J & G history there is little written about Blue Nordic, but it is one of those designs that has stood the test of time.
The cup and saucer are in excellent condition, clear bright white porcelain with the blue free style floral pattern, and obviously free from chips and cracks. There are 6 sets available.
The cup stands approx. 3”/7.5cm high with an open top diameter of approx. 3.5”/9cm. The saucer is approx. 5.75”/14.5cm in diameter, and have a lovely fluted type edge, as can be seen in the photograph.
The backstamp is very clear with the Classic White signature.
