Beauful Royal Doulton Tonkin design. Has an Indian tree design feel about it. Sadly this pattern is no longer produced. So what is going around is the last of this design!!
These are two lovely cups and saucers from Royal Doulton in their design Tonkin. This design was first seen in 1974 but sadly discontinues in 1992 and has a really nice summery feel about it.
The cup measures approx. 2.75”/7cm high. and has an open top diameter of approx. 3.00”/7.5cm. The saucer is approx. 5.50”/7.5cm
The pattern is one of sage green bands and is characterized by its smooth look and distinctive, flowery design. It features an underglaze Indian Asian-inspired tree design with gold, yellow, cream, white, blue, and red maroon flowers surrounded by green leaves and small branches.
It is English made at the famous Burslem factory near Stoke on Trent.
All my items are free from chips and cracks, preowned and come from a smoke free and pet free environment.
I have four sets of cups and saucers and are selling them in two’s, this is because the postage on one cup and saucer is the same for two.
