ROYAL DOULTON VANBOROUGH DINNER PLATE
This is one of the most classic designs from Royal Doulton - Vanborough.
This vintage pattern was first seen around about 1967 and produced until 1985.
The plate is made of fine bone china and has a pattern which is two beautiful dark green borders one slightly smaller than the other with gold scrolls and circles around them.
There is gold circle on the inside of the borders.
The plate measures approx. 10.50”/27cm
The plate is free from chips and cracks, and although it is preowned it has very little cutlery marks.
All my items come from a pet free and smoke free environment.
Postage is included in the published price.
There are four plates available.
A little bit of nerdyness. The name Vanborough possibly came from the name of the architect who designed Blenheim Palace, one Sir John Vanbrugh. I noticed this dinner service when visited Blenheim whilst on holidays, couldn’t quite remember the name of the design, but couldn’t lift the plate as it was stuck down!!!
